Central heating boiler maintenance — a boiler technician who keeps your boiler healthy
Rated on Google · Fixed price upfront · Guarantee on the work
Most breakdowns announce themselves. A boiler that is checked in time lasts longer, uses less gas and is less likely to fail on the coldest day. Our boiler technician cleans, checks and adjusts your boiler — and gives you an honest assessment of its condition.

Prevention is cheaper than a breakdown
A central heating boiler runs year in, year out. Dust and dirt build up in the burner and heat exchanger, the settings drift and small leaks or a weak expansion vessel only become apparent when the boiler stops. During a service we pick up those signals before they lead to breakdown.
How often? For most boilers, once every one to two years is a good guideline, depending on type and usage. Also check the manufacturer's advice. For an older boiler or intensive use, more frequent checks are advisable. Read more in central heating boiler maintenance: why and how often?
- Safer — inspection of combustion and flue gas extraction.
- More economical — a properly adjusted boiler uses less gas.
- Longer life — less wear from dirt and incorrect settings.
- Fewer breakdowns — emerging problems spotted in time.

Is your boiler showing a fault, constantly losing pressure or are the radiators staying cold? Then our boiler technician will also come outside the maintenance service. We find the cause, tell you what the repair will cost and carry out repairs where sensible. If we have any doubts about safety, we switch the boiler off and explain why.
Is the boiler getting on in years and are repairs mounting up? Then we'll discuss honestly whether repair is still worthwhile or whether replacing the central heating boiler is more sensible. More about breakdowns: central heating boiler & breakdowns.

Between services
A few simple checks keep your system in good condition. Stay away from the inside of the boiler yourself.
- Keep an eye on the pressure — when cold, most central heating sits around 1.5 bar. If you have to top up often, there's a leak somewhere.
- Bleed radiators — are the radiators ticking or gurgling, or not getting warm at the top? Bleed them and then check the pressure.
- Note down error codes — if the boiler shows a code on the display, note it down with the make and model. That saves time during diagnosis.
- Smell gas? — open windows and doors, do not use switches or flames, turn off the gas tap and leave the house. Then call the national gas emergency number 0800-9009.
When should you call us?
- Immediate — no heating or hot water in freezing weather, or a boiler that breaks down and cannot be reset.
- Today — an error code, recurring pressure loss or strange noises from the boiler.
- By appointment — the annual or biennial service — preferably before the heating season.
Not sure? Call 070 783 0224 — we'll help you think it through, no obligation.
